The ‘Absolutely Not’ list

Because shortcuts don’t belong in real food.

No Added Hormones, Antibiotics, & Growth Promotants

What they are:
Drugs used in industrial animal agriculture to speed growth and prevent disease in crowded environments.

Why we don't use them:
Healthy animals don’t need drugs. We source only from farms that raise livestock responsibly — humanely, naturally, and with respect.

No Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs)

What they are:
Genetically modified crops and chemical pesticides are common in conventional farming to increase yield and resist pests — often at the expense of soil health, biodiversity, and safety.

Why we don't use them:
We believe pure, natural ingredients make better food. Our produce is grown without GMOs or toxic pesticides — the way nature intended — for clean, trustworthy nutrition.

No Grains, Legumes & Fillers

What they are:
Cheap calorie fillers like corn, soy, rice, peas, lentils, or white potatoes — used to bulk up food and cut costs.

Why we don't use them:
Dogs and cats thrive on purposeful, species-appropriate nutrition, not cheap starches. These fillers dilute nutrition, spike blood sugar, and have no place in our foods.

No Synthetic Vitamins

What they are:
Lab-made powders used to replace nutrients lost in processing — common in kibble and canned foods to meet minimum nutritional standards.

Why we don't use them:
Our nutrients come directly from whole foods — not additives. Real ingredients provide vitamins and minerals in their most natural, bioavailable form.

No Artificial Preservatives, Colors, or Flavors

What they are:
Chemical additives (like BHA, BHT, ethoxyquin, or “natural flavor”) used to extend shelf life or make food more appealing.

Why we don't use them:
We rely on freshness and real ingredients for flavor — not chemicals. If it needs fake color or scent, it’s not real food.
